Quiet Hours
212 NW 11th St, Miami, FL 33136

A project by Alyssa Exposito.
O, Miami and the Books & Books Literary Foundation invite you to The (Silent) Reading Party, a community program that encourages participants to reclaim their time and attention by reading in silence with others.
At its heart, The (Silent) Reading Party is an antidote to distraction. Arriving with a book or choosing one provided, guests will gather at Quiet Hours to read for 30 minutes in companionable silence. After sharing favorite lines or engaging with poetic prompts, attendees can enjoy connecting with other readers over music and drinks in the backyard urban oasis of this mixed use art space in Overtown.
Guests will leave with a useful poetic takeaway and a felt sense of having paid attention.
