Your Support, Our Impact

Every donation makes a difference. With the contributions made by donors, over the past year, we’ve been able to:

• Publish writing by 1,198 South Floridians in books and public art projects. Teach 17 classes across 9 schools, providing 3,400 hours of instruction in four languages to Miami’s multilingual student population, especially in underserved neighborhoods like Allapattah, Coconut Grove, Hialeah, and Little Haiti.

• Engage 5,611 people across Miami-Dade through innovative poetry programs from March to September 2024, bringing poetry into classrooms, neighborhoods, and public spaces.

• Serve more communities through community-based initiatives and partnerships with The Bass Museum and Boca Raton Centennial, bringing poetry and the arts to new audiences both within and beyond Miami-Dade County.

• Offer professional development for artists, educators, and creative professionals through the Greenhouse Program, the Poetry Foundation’s Summer Teacher’s Institute, and O, Miami Curriculum Club, supporting teachers in bringing poetry into classrooms and fostering creative engagement.
