Poetry in the Park

U.S. Poet Laureates Robert Hass (1995-7) and 2011 National Book Award-winner Nikki Finney read as part of the first-ever Poetry Wallcast in New World Center's Soundscape Park.

Guests brought blankets and watched the poets read their work on a 7,000 sq foot outdoor projection screen in full, high-definition surround sound.

The event was free and featured music by New World Symphony Fellows, food, games, typewriter poems-to-order, and a book exchange from Bookleggers.

After the reading, the poets met with the audience and signed books, courtesy of Books & Books Independent Bookstore.
