Memories of Miami Activation
Project by Maria Claudia Schubert-Fontes and Adriana Fontes
Following a summer of record-breaking heat, Memories of Miami invites you to preserve your memories through poetry. Your story, painted with thermochromic pigment which vanishes at 77°F and 100°F, will re-emerge with cooler temperatures, symbolizing both the fragility and resilience of our collective memory. This project seeks to spur conversation about Miami’s identity and the parts of our stories that are lost when we experience irreversible climate impacts.
