"Eating Our Words" was the first reading at the inaugural O, Miami Poetry Festival on April 1, 2011. Conceived by Gabrielle Calvocoressi and Heather Taylor, the event featured a reading by Tracy K. Smith and a traditional Cuban pig roast, cooked and hosted by Boater's Grill in a tent adjacent to their restaurant in Bill Baggs State Park.
