In order to create a bridge of communication between Cubans living in Miami and Havana, artist Nestor Siré has engineered a device that emits hundreds of micro poems that imitate your Wifi signal. Connectify/ Free_Wi-Fi [poesia]. features bilingual poems by 20 poets that showcase their opinions on emigration, freedom, and cultural perspectives happening in the Cuban diaspora.

Cuci Amador (Miami, Estados Unidos, 1979). Es el apodo de una cosita nacida en Puerto Rico de padres cubanos. Es poeta, actriz y música en la banda Afrobeta. Vive en Miami con su esposo, To. Siempre le han fascinado las palabras; mejor escritas que cantadas. Hablando es muy aburrido. No tiene pelos en la lengua.

Lizabel Mónica (La Habana, Cuba, 1981). Writer based in the United States. A Ph.D. candidate en Princeton University con una disertación sobre la influencia del digital media in contemporary Cuban literatura, artes visuales y música. Poetry compilation: Distintos modos de evitar a un poeta (El Quirófano Ediciones, 2012). Fue editora de several Cuban magazines y es codirectora de Fruta Bomba, un proyecto cultural feminista. Her literary practice combines visual arts and writing into transdisciplinary pieces.

Legna Rodríguez Iglesias (Camagüey, Cuba, 1984). Escribe una columna Irrelevante en El Estornudo. Premio Centrifugados 2019: Mi pareja calva y yo vamos a tener un hijo (2017). Alfaguara publicó Mi novia preferida fue un bulldog francés y mereció el Paz Prize (2016) por Miami Century Fox. Premio Casa de Las Américas (2016) por Si esto es una tragedia yo soy una bicicleta. Entre tantos: La mujer que compró el mundo, Mayonesa bien brillante, No sabe/no contesta, Las analfabetas. Trabaja en sus labores, 42 tatuajes.

César Segovia [Caracas, Venezuela, 1977] Bachelor in Literature (Central University of Venezuela, 2002). He has served as editor, researcher, content editor, style corrector and proofreader for cultural institutions and publishing companies. He has published Caracas siempre nueva. Breve antología de crónicas de Caracas (Compilation, Magenta Ediciones, 2006); Eso lo sé (Cooperativa Editorial Lugar Común, Caracas, 2012) a book of palindromic poems; Próximo Tren (Libros del Fuego: Caracas, 2014) and Radar (Editorial Planeta Venezolana: Caracas, 2015).

Ylena Zamora-Vargas (La Habana, Cuba, 1991). La procrearon en Veszprém, Hungría. Creció en Amberes, Bélgica. Se desarrolló en Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Estados Unidos. Estudió en la Universidad de Columbia, New York. Reside en Miami, Florida. Le gusta el ajedrez y sobre todo las palabras y los números.

Nestor Siré is a visual artist who from an artistic and academic perspective is interested in the informal methods of circulation of information and goods, the alternative phenomena resulting from social creativity, and the communities and human infrastructures that are formed around these practices. Lives and works in Havana. His work has been exhibited at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de La Habana; Hong-Gah Museum; Queens Museum, New Museum, and Rhizome among others. He has made presentations at the Warszawa Biennale, Gwangju Biennial, Curitiba Biennial, Havana Biennial, Asuncion International Biennial, Manifesta, Ars Electronica, The Photographers' Gallery, New Latin American Film Festival, and the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival among others. He has also conducted workshops and lectures at the Faculty of Arts and Letters, University of Havana; The Hague, KABK and ArtEZ; Open Doc Lab, Program in Art, Cultural and Technology, MIT; Moesgaard Museum; PLAS, Princeton University among others. http://www.nestorsire.com/
