Threshold Singers, a group of singers offering tender melodies to grieving communities in South Florida, joins forces with local poets for an evening of healing poetry and song dedicated to those who identify as suicide survivors: anyone who lives/has lived with suicidal ideation, has survived a suicide attempt, and/or the loss of a loved one to suicide.

Sara Gomez is a true Miamian—which means she was born here, left for a while, and inevitably found her way back for good. She is a multimodal storyteller who flutters freely between artistic mediums, finding inspiration for her writing at the pottery wheel, behind the lens of her iPhone or digicam, and in the soprano section at community choir rehearsal. A child of the internet with over a decade of professional experience in the digital marketing space, Sara’s work is driven by a desire to disrupt modern narratives of urgency and despair with true stories of human wonder, imagination, and resilience. She holds a B.A. in Creative Writing & Public Relations from Florida State University.

Miami Sound Space Threshold Singers is a compassionate presence, offering comfort and peace to individuals on the threshold of life's end. With gentle voices and heartfelt melodies, we sing at patients' bedsides and provide solace in various end-of-life services.
