All Over Miami
A project by Brooke Bovee and Carmen Misé
WANTED: Poetry for the Classifieds hides poetry in plain sight through poems written in the style of classified advertisements placed online and in local publications. South Floridians are invited to submit poems that fulfill classified categories such as “wanted,” “for rent,” “lost and found,” and “help wanted.”
Submit your poems for free by 3/22 here!
Additionally, join O, Miami and project managers Brooke Bovee and Carmen Misé at the Arcola Lakes Branch Library on March 17, where we’ll learn about archival classified ads and write some of our own.
All writing levels welcome. Materials provided. Free RSVP here!

Brooke Bovee has called Miami home for nearly two decades. She reads and writes poetry, listens intently to the sounds of the city, and in between, teaches English composition and literature.
Carmen Misé teaches, writes, and raises two daughters in Miami. Her creative work centers on the messy beauty of ordinary moments. She’s happiest when learning something new, being outside with her family, and by the ocean.
