How to Write about Walking: A Workshop on a Walk Around Kendall
Led by Nathan Deuel

Miami is a city of cars and roads but it's also a marvelous place to walk. Miami is a city of beaches and bars but it’s also a city of readers — and a few who want to learn better how to write. Join a Walking Workshop with Miami native, essayist, author, teacher, and walker Nathan Deuel. We’ll meet in Kendall, and we’ll take a 3-hour walk around a place the most Miamians only see from car windows. We’ll discuss writing, and, most importantly — with our eyes on the scenery — we’ll discuss the tricks and charms and habits of making a piece of writing from a long day spent on two feet.

For our April 25th workshop, we’ll meet on Miami Beach, a place of cars and bars but also a marvelous place to walk.

For our April 26th workshop, we’ll meet in Kendall, a place that most Miamians only see from car windows.

Be advised: This is NOT a workshop around a table. It happens during a three-hour (10am - 1pm), outdoor trek on pedestrian thoroughfares.
