The Beach Is A Border

Project created by Sandra March

$5 - Limited Flip Flops - RSVP here
Lummus Park // Miami Beach

This project aims to make visible the injustice of anti-migratory measures through a poetic activity. The action is located on the shore of the beach, one of the places of habitual arrival of people who escape from their countries of origin.

The coast is an area of conflict and struggle, which artist Sandra March transforms into a poetic space and reflection about the way in which the "other" is excluded and stigmatized in our societies.

Participants walk the Miami Beach sands leaving imprints of poetry. Featuring excerpts by Jose Olivarez, Natalie Scenters-Zapico, Fabienne Josaphat and Javier Zamora.

$5 ticket includes poetry flip flops and water.

Please arrive by 7:30 a.m.
WALK WILL BEGIN AT 8am.
