Street Collaging La Pequeña Habana

Saturday, April 18th 2026

11am-3pm

Arahi’s Bakery
745 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33130

A project by Motyko Morales.

Motyko Morales invites friends, strangers, and vecinos to a poetic community walk through the rapidly changing neighborhood of East Little Havana, followed by lunch and a reflective collage workshop at the Hispanic Branch Library.

Community members will walk the streets, take photos of grocery stores, pulperias, and local institutions, using these images as primary material to create a collaging archive.

The goal of this workshop is to help participants see and know the neighborhood of East Little Havana beyond Calle Ocho, to engage with its everyday spaces, and to reflect its changing landscape through poetry and collage.
