Poems at The Underline

O, Miami is partnering with The Underline to project forty-four poems, written by Miamians, in downtown Brickell.

• Join us for a socially-distanced kick-off event on Friday, April 23rd

• Enjoy music by DJ Hottpants, a poetry reading by local poet Calvin Early, Bookleggers new Bookbike, and sip on beer by Unbranded Brewery Company.

• Attendees are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
  

Every evening from 8-10 pm on April 23-25, an LED screen will display a loop of the poems, which were collected by O, Miami through an open call in 2020. Each poem explores the topics of urban greenspace and the subtropical ecosystem of Miami. The projections will take place at the Sound Stage at The Underline’s Promenade, near the intersection of SW 8th St and SW 1st Avenue.
