#Miamilivepoems is an activation featuring on-the-spot, user-generated poetry, live-streamed on Facebook.
During the month of April, O, Miami Poetry Festival participants engage in an ongoing dialogue with a language of common icons while writing Miami-themed odes. Prompts are changed out during various festival events. The hashtag, #miamilivepoems, aggregates user photos of the activation. Users are encouraged to contribute poetry through the Facebook live feed comments section.
The installation was designed and created by Rebecca Shumway at Moonlighter Makerspace in Wynwood, FL.
