Lost Socks / Missed Connections is a whimsical archival poetry project that connects South Florida’s Craigslist Missed Connections and the mythology of lost socks. Socks featuring sewn, ironed, and embroidered Missed Connection posts-as-poems will be dispersed at five laundromats across Miami-Dade. Lost Socks / Missed Connections is a project of chance and fun, hoping to spread a bit of joy to those who find them.

Originally from New Jersey, Luz Estrella Cruz (they/she) is a Dominican-Honduran-American interdisciplinary artist and writer based in Miami, FL with a focus in collage, found art sculpture, fabric, and poetry. Their passion for artist books, archives, and counter histories has driven many of their personal projects in and out of academia.
