“Found in Translation: Mother Tongues for New Ears”

Organized by poet and instructor Leslie Saghar, “Found in Translation: Mother Tongues for New Ears” was a reading featuring the students in University of Miami's Intensive English Program.

Languages that separate us can also join us. The University of Miami Intensive English Program (UM IEP) and the O, Miami Poetry Festival presented a poetry reading and ice cream social.

Ten international students read poems in their native language, then in English translation, to promote affirmation of cultural and individual identity.
