O, Miami is committed to providing free poetry resources to teachers.

Creative writing instruction reinforces literacy and critical thinking, provides an avenue for self-expression, and supports general wellness. At O, Miami all our curricular resources are developed through a trauma-informed lens.

View our Greenhouse Teachers' Lab videos below. The Greenhouse Teachers’ Lab is a series of training videos aimed at providing teachers with creative writing strategies supported by a trauma-informed lens. Each video is presented by a teaching artist and a licensed art therapist and provides teachers with an executable lesson plan.

The 2023 series includes 6 episodes featuring lessons crafted by teaching artists Kita Huerta, Anthony Torres, Arsimmer McCoy, Sara Haley, Marnino Toussaint, and Darius Daughtry and supported by licensed arts therapists Deanna Barton and Elia Khalaf.
